Mexican-born and Washington, D.C.–based, Los XL is a DJ, producer, and artist whose sound starts with Moombahton and moves freely through Latin music, dancehall, hip-hop, and global bass.
From the D.C. scene that gave birth to Moombahton to multiple appearances on Billboard’s Latin Digital Song Sales chart, his work connects sounds, cultures, and audiences. Today, he releases independently through his own imprint, CRTV Music, distributed by EMPIRE.

Emerging from Washington, D.C.’s Moombahton scene, Los XL developed a genre-blurring approach that pushed the sound beyond its original boundaries. His work has been recognized by Remezcla, and his catalog includes releases through Buygore and Good Enuff.
Alongside longtime collaborator Mannie D Cruz, Los XL debuted at No. 6 on Billboard’s Latin Digital Song Sales chart with “Siente El Calor.” The record also reached No. 2 on iTunes’ Global Pop in Spanish chart and charted in additional international iTunes markets. “Alarma,” with longtime collaborator Jefferson D Lion, debuted at No. 7 on Billboard’s Latin Digital Song Sales chart.
His music has crossed into television through sync placements in VICE’s What Would Diplo Do? and Netflix’s Fast & Furious: Spy Racers.
In 2026, he expanded into professional sports as the producer and mastering engineer of Jason Cerda’s “Golazo,” the official anthem associated with the Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League. The music video featured the Washington Spirit and Audi Field, and Cerda performed the record during the club’s Worldwide Culture Match.
A member of both the Recording Academy and the Latin Recording Academy, Los XL has spent more than a decade connecting Latin culture and electronic music through original records, collaborations, remixes, and music for larger cultural moments.
